Battle Cry: Cathy Young on the alt-right

Max Sanderson talks to the US author and columnist.

The first guest in our series of podcasts leading up to the Battle of Ideas 2017 is Cathy Young, a contributing editor at Reason magazine and columnist for Newsday. In the wake of the Charlottesville protests, she talks to Max Sanderson about the rise of the alt-right. Who are they? Where did they come from? Why has the alt-right become popular and what does it stand for?

Cathy will be speaking in the debate From Pepe the Frog to Charlottesville: the rise of the alt-right on Saturday 28 October at the Battle of Ideas festival at The Barbican in London.
