Debating Matters National Final 2014
Join us for the National Final 2013/14 on Friday 27 June to Sunday 29 June
We are delighted to be hosted by The British Library, one of the world’s greatest research libraries. The pilot programme for Debating Matters was held at the British Library on 2 December 2002 and involved just eight schools. Twelve years on and Debating Matters has since become a fixture in the calendar of hundreds of schools from across the UK.
The British Library is the national library of the United Kingdom and one of the world’s greatest research libraries. It provides world class information services to the academic, business, research and scientific communities and offers unparalleled access to the world’s largest and most comprehensive research collection. The Library’s collection has developed over 250 years and exceeds 150 million items representing every age of written civilisation. It includes books, journals, manuscripts, maps, stamps, music, patents, photographs, newspapers and sound recordings in all written and spoken languages.
